Sealaska Heritage Institute basketball camp -The Sealaska Heritage
Institute will sponsor basketball camps in Juneau and Angoon for kids who
are Sealaska shareholders or descendants. The purpose is to provide a week
of fun but intensive instruction in the fundamentals of basketball while incorporating
Tlingit language and culture. The Juneau camp is for kids in grades 6 to 8
and will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School. The
Angoon camp is for kids ages 1-12 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Aug. 6-10, at Angoon
City School Gym. Info: Sarah Dybdahl, 586-9234.
